Aptium Oncology continues in its role of providing administrative services for the operation of the facility
LOS ANGELES, CA -- June 7, 2010 - Aptium Oncology, Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of oncology consulting and management solutions, and Beth Israel Medical Center, a premier teaching hospital in Manhattan, officially transitioned St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC) to Beth Israel beginning on June 3, 2010. SVCCC was the outpatient cancer care of Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. St. Vincent's closed its inpatient services in April 2010. The facility is now known as The Beth Israel Comprehensive Cancer Center West Side Campus.
Aptium Oncology and Beth Israel have reached an agreement for Aptium to continue in its role of providing administrative services for the operation of the facility. This transfer of services will ensure critical continuity of care for the thousands of patients who make over 60,000 visits to the Center annually.
The Beth Israel Comprehensive Cancer Center West Side Campus is located at 325 West 15th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues, and occupies approximately 90,000 square feet of space. The hub of Beth Israel's multi-disciplinary Cancer Center is located at the hospital's Phillips Ambulatory Care Center on Union Square East between 14th and 15th Streets.
Peter Jessup, Aptium Oncology's Chief Executive Officer, states, "This is an outstanding partnership that bodes well for the future of both organizations, and the well-being of cancer patients in the community. This is the result of both companies working seamlessly together to forge one of the strongest and largest oncology programs in the Northeast Corridor."
