JOINT STATEMENT FROM BETH ISRAEL MEDICAL CENTER AND APTIUM ONCOLOGY, INC.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- May 4, 2010 - Aptium Oncology, Inc., currently provides services for the operation of the St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC), which was developed, outfitted and staffed through investments made by Aptium. In light of the recent bankruptcy filing and closure of Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers of New York, Beth Israel Medical Center and Aptium Oncology have signed a binding letter of intent for the transfer of operations of the Cancer Center to Beth Israel.

More importantly, this proposed transfer of services will ensure critical continuity of care for thousands of SVCCC patients who make over 60,000 visits to the cancer center annually. The Center will continue to provide the full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic programs, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, as well as nationally recognized research and cancer supportive services.

The physicians and staff of SVCCC and Beth Israel are working closely and collaboratively to bring these two programs together. There is tremendous synergy between the two programs, which makes this partnership particularly noteworthy. Both cancer teams are excited and optimistic about joining in partnership to become one of the largest and most comprehensive multi-site cancer programs in the Northeast.

SVCCC, which opened in 1996, is located at 325 West 15th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues, and occupies approximately 88,000 square feet of space. The hub of Beth Israel's multi-disciplinary Cancer Center is located at the hospital's Phillips Ambulatory Care Center on Union Square East between 14th and 15th Streets.
